The City Manager is a General Manager role and is one of the most important roles in the company. You are in charge not only of ensuring operational excellence, but also for the overall growth and profitability of your city. This also means identifying, creating and nurturing strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and be ultimately accountable for achieving the highest stakeholder satisfaction across the board.
The City Manager is our most important local ambassador of the Eating Europe brand.
We need our City Manager in Rome to:
Set and execute the strategy for your city
Own and be the overall accountable of the P&L for Rome
Grow the city to its full potential in terms of number of guests, revenue generation and profitability
Identify and partner with local stakeholders and third parties to increase sales and strengthen the Eating Europe brand
Hire, train and manage your local team of guides
Establish strong and good working relationships with all local vendors
Identify new product opportunities, evaluating their potential and developing these in collaboration with Product Innovation as well as killing non-performers so we always have the strongest possible offering in place for B2B and B2C
Ensure the highest possible satisfaction from guests, guides, vendors, tea, and other stakeholders
Do whatever the F$#& it takes to get the job done;)
We need our City Manager to:
Be self-motivated with a results-driven approach
Be a critical thinker with out of the ordinary problem-solving skills
Be a hustler, be creative and not stopping after 20 obstacles per day
Be a team player - make it work!
Have excellent leadership skills, but also be able and willing to roll up your sleeves and just do whatever needs to get done
Have good time-management skills
Possess great interpersonal and communication skills
Ideally have an existing network of relevant potential local and international partners
Have a university background in hospitality or business (we strongly prefer candidates with a background in hospitality and tourism)
Several years of experience in a similar role
Full proficiency in English as well as Italian
Must be based in Rome - we need to have you where the magic happens;)
