We are seeking a hungry (pun intended!) Growth Marketing Manager to join our marketing team! This is a remote position and can be located anywhere in Europe.
The company was founded in Rome in 2011 by American native, Kenny Dunn. His informal culinary strolls with friends and family became the Taste of Testaccio Food Tour focusing on real food, real people and real neighbourhoods. Since then, Eating Europe has become the largest tour operator specialising in culinary tours and activities across Europe having hosted over 200,000 happy customers from around the world on our food tours and experiences. In 2019 and beyond, we will continue to provide travellers an unparalleled local, authentic and insider foodie experience in the undiscovered neighbourhoods of the most fascinating cities in Europe.
In this role, we’re looking for an entrepreneurial all-around digital marketer to not only acquire new B2C and B2B customers, but also grow the lifetime value of the 200k+ guests who have joined our tours over the years. Some of the core responsibilities include:
Leverage our analytics and booking data to understand our customer’s journey and conversion funnel - and optimise it!
Identify and test new paid advertising opportunities.
Work closely internally with cross-functional team members and externally with our SEO/SEM agency. You’ll interact with product development, sales, local city managers and even our tour guides frequently!
Develop and execute B2B and B2C lead generation campaigns.
Identify opportunities to design and launch B2B and B2C marketing automation campaigns.
Generate testing hypotheses and launch A/B or Multivariate tests.
Identify and launch personalisation campaigns to improve the customer experience and conversion rate.
Help manage and expand our affiliate program, both for our affiliates and to further monetise our blog.
We need you to have:
At least 2 years of proven experience in growth or acquisition marketing.
Proficient Google Analytics or similar - not just how to navigate the platform but rather to identify actionable data points.
Deep knowledge of the travel/tourism industry.
Fluency in English.
Experience with the Google Marketing Platform including Google Analytics, Optimize, Google Tag Manager, etc.
A get sh-t done attitude.
An analytical problem-solver mindset.
A high attention to detail enabling you to analyse and execute campaigns flawlessly.
A Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience.
Bonus points if you:
Worked for a tour operator or in tourism in any capacity.
Live in or near any cities where we have a presence.
Have relevant certifications (although proven experience trumps certifications).
What we offer:
A challenging role in a fast developing start-up environment.
Lots of autonomy and trust - we expect our team members to bring their best ideas and initiatives to the table. Then implement them.
Fun and creative colleagues who are passionate about food and about sharing experiences with guests and colleagues.
Competitive compensation package based on experience and skills.
Opportunity to work remotely - We all do!
Annual retreat in one of our cities to get together and get aligned.
